Watershed

The organization has long experience on the effective implementation of watershed program in Jharkhand. Currently a five years watershed program is running in 17 villages of Lapung block of Ranchi district with the support of Jharkhand Jalchhjan Yojna, Dept. of Rural Development. Under this project a total of 5031.68 ha of land are being treated for the direct and indirect benefit to 2748 ST, SC families. Under the Natural Resource Management 96 Farm ponds, 38 Dova, SCT, WAT, TCB Field Bund Gully Plug and 21 ECD have been constructed. The other activities such as Institution and Capacity Building, Crop Demonstration and Livelihood promotion activities have also been covered.

Krishak Pathshala-Integrated Farm Model

Samekit Birsa Gram Vikas and Krishak Pathshala program has been implemented with the support of Dept. of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Co-operative, Jharkhand. A high-tech integrated model of agriculture and allied sectors have established in 26 acres of land at Rajnagar, Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The components are Fisheries, Duck, Goat, Broiler, Layer, Cow and Pig Farming, Bee Keeping, High Value Agriculture and Fruits Plantation. The project has directly targeted 750 ST farmers of 7 Birsa Villages of Rajnagar block.

Plantation at National Highway

The Avenue and Median plantation work have been completed at Ranchi Mahulia section of NH-33 with the support of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). Total 11660 plants in 10 km range of Avenue and 16831 plants in the range of 26.5 km have covered under the project.

Skill Development Program

We are running a skill development center at Nagri, Ranchi and Rajnagar, Seraikela supported by Jharkhand Skill Development Mission (JSDM) under Mukhyamantri Sarthi Yojna. There are 650 candidates getting training on computer, tailoring and beautician.

Tribal Development Program

The organization is running several tribal development programs in different districts of Jharkhand supported by Dept. of Tribal Welfare, Integrated Tribal Development Agency and Dept. of Agriculture etc. The programs cover livelihood development, agriculture, horticulture, development of model village, health, sanitation, nutrition and skill development.

Agri Clinic

The organization is running an Agri Clinic centre at Chainpur block of Gumla district which is being supported by Dept. of Agriculture, Jharkhand. Through this program we are providing technical supports to the local farmers, testing of soil health, advising about cropping practices, plant protection, crop insurance, post harvest-technology, clinical services for animal, feed and fodder management, etc.

Drinking Water and Sanitation

The organization has good experience working on a project of Drinking Water & Sanitation Department, Jharkhand under Jal Jeevan Mission. The project was focused on awareness generation, capacity building, hand-holding support and community mobilization in rural areas of Chatra district.

National Mobile Medical Unit

The project is running in 25 villages of Kisko and Pesrar blocks of Lohardaga district. National Mobile Medical Unit (NMMU) project is a great support for those people living in the remote tribal areas of the said blocks. The mobile van approaches to the poor people for 25 days every month. The van is equipped with essential tools and medical experts. A large number of women, children and old age people get treatments and free medicines for various diseases such as general fever, malaria, typhoid, stomach pain, menstrual problem, malnutrition, anemia, cholera, scabies, eye & ear diseases, joint pain and jaundice etc.

Floriculture

The organization has long experiences in the commercial cultivation of flowers (Floriculture) to improve the livelihoods of rural and tribal people in Jharkhand. Farmers are generating income from marigold, gerbera, rose and other flowers. They use to sell their produce in local markets. Floriculture based activities have created employment opportunities to a large number of rural youths.

Natural Farming

The organization is working on organic and natural farming with the support of OFAJ, Dept. of Horticulture, Jharkhand and National Coalition for Natural Farming. We are promoting organic cultivation of vegetables, spices, cereals, paddy and millets at large scale. A large number of farmers have adopted the organic and natural farming system.

Training on Horticulture

The organization has good experience in conducting training and capacity building programs on horticulture including vegetables farming, fruit plantation and floriculture. Training programs on horticultural activities are organized with the support of District Horticulture Department for different districts of Jharkhand. We have conducted the training in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Bokaro, Garhwa, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts at block level. The training is focused towards income enhancement of the poor and tribal farmers of the remote villages.

Integrated Fish Farming

The organization conducts training on integrated fish farming in the areas of watershed and other locations. We impart training to community people on aquaculture including demonstration of models of farm pond technology. Training and fish farming programs are held with the support of Dept. of Fisheries by involving fisheries experts.

Livestock and Livelihood

image For the economic up-liftment of the farmers and to generate employment, we have implemented goat development programme under Mukhyamantri Pashudhan VikasYojana, Jharkhand. The scheme envisages nutritional balance for consumers in terms of animal protein intake ensuring growth in meat production and holistic development of Animal Husbandry & Dairy sector. Cow, Pig, Broiler, Layer Farming, Duck Farming are also covered under this program in Bokaro, Seraikela and other districts of Jharkhand.


Bee Keeping

Bee keeping under the District Horticulture program was implemented in Jamtara, Dhanbad, Dumka, Ramgarh, Khunti, Ranchi, Lohardaga and Palamau districts in 2020 and at Balumath, Latehar in 2024 with the support of CCL (CSR). All the 70 selected beneficiaries including women of the 8 districts were get trained by expert trainers at district level.After the capacity building of the trainees they got bee box for bee keeping in their respective districts. It is a supplementary source of their income by selling pure honey in the local markets.

Health, Nutrition and Hygiene

The organization is specially focused on women and adolescent girls’ health, nutrition and hygiene in the remote rural and tribal areas of Jharkhand. Presently a project with the support of CCL (CSR) is being conducted in 40 villages of Chatra district by covering 1200 SC/ST beneficiaries. Under this program we are conducting awareness, training on health, yoga and nutrition garden, and distributed sanitation kits to the women.

Education

The organization was started with the vision of providing quality education to the tribal peoples of Jharkhand living in the remote forest areas of the state. With the support of govt. we had established 117 Centers for Bridge Course and 15 High Schools in the remote areas of Ranchi, Gumla and Chatra Districts.

Community Institutions

Formation and strengthening of community institutions is one of the major parts of our programs. Local institutions are the basis of sustainability of the projects. We have strengthened more than 500 Self Help Groups, one Farmers Producer Organization (FPO), several Village Forest Protection Groups, Youth Clubs and Water and Sanitation Groups.
